SEM Program Manager | JD

Cariplo Factory is looking for a Program Manager who wants to join SkyDeck Europe Milan (SEM) Accelerator and take on the challenge to support the set-up of what aims to become one of the most relevant accelerators in Europe. You’ll be joining Milano Innovation District (MIND) a unique international platform to capitalize global and local research and business excellences. Cariplo Factory has partnered with Berkeley SkyDeck, to scout for post-seed startups: we coach them with mentors and advisors, we facilitate fundraising with top tier investors and we work with large corporations on cross-pollination opportunities. In order to reach these goals, we cooperate with Federated Innovation – a network of 36 top tier companies that create an unprecedented ecosystem beyond open innovation –, as well as with relevant R&I stakeholders (Ospedale Galeazzi, Università di Milano, Human Technopole, Istituto Italiano Tecnologia among others), and with institutional Partners (Regione Lombardia, Fondazione Cariplo) and top-tier VCs (i.e. SkyDeck Fund, Indaco Ventires, CDP).

Main activities

Program Management (70%)

• Startups scouting, applications monitoring and support to startups assessment
• Work with TTOs and incubators, and other stakeholders, to engage them in the scouting activities and SEM pipeline
• Manage all programmatic needs of startups with a special emphasis and focus on ensuring the continuity and alignment of SEM program
• Work with founders one on one to refine their pitch and presentations for investor meetings
• Manage any and all founder inquiries regarding facilities and operations
• Conduct surveys and analysis of founders satisfaction with SEM program and recommend and implement improvements and changes on an ongoing basis
• SEM database management and information updating
• Develop and update presentation material (decks)
• Assist in the scheduling of meetings for SkyDeck/Cariplo Factory Board

Event Planning (20%)

• Facilitate the planning and organization of programs and networking events to help connect international founders to advisors, investors and corporate partners

Marketing (10%)

• Manage key marketing projects and tasks tied to SEM
• Manage content marketing to promote the program including social media, case studies, blogs, and thought leadership

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of the startup sector
• Experience with scouting and assessment reporting
• Know how orchestrate and execute programs in structured way
• Capable of building and maintaining long lasting relationships
• Experience on business analysis
• Fluent in English
• Previous Incubator/Accelerator or Investor experience (min 3yrs)
• Fluency in Excel is a must
• Fluency in Powerpoint is a must
